About Women on a Mission
Women on a Mission is a NSW Central Coast based, non for profit organisation supporting women in crisis, using the Christian Works of Mercy as our guide: we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give drink to the thirsty, shelter the homeless and care for the ill and weak.
We bring women with hearts to help, together with women who need the shining light of hope in their life. We aim to alleviate distress and suffering of women who are victims of domestic violence, poverty, homelessness or are simply going through a period in their life where they are in need of a helping hand.
Our connections with various women’s shelters, refuges, health centres and other organisations allows us to help many women in need – we are not tied to just one type of support service. These organisations call us when they are unable to meet the needs of a women in crisis, and we will be there to help. And for the thousands of women who do not meet the criteria of these other services, we are also here to help them.
Our database of lovely women are available to answer the call when it comes in, and gather the best women together for the job. Whether it be to donate clothes to a woman fleeing domestic violence, help a single mother with transportation to an appointment, provide food hampers to a woman in crisis, visit a newly widowed elderly lady, help organise emergency meals for a women battling a life threatening illness, or provide basic womens ‘essentials’ in times of need. Whatever the mission given to us, we will do our best to fulfil it.
We will always do what we can, where we are, with whatever resources we have available to us. We will do this with a happy smile, respect for all women and a generous and gracious heart.
